A simple design with three drawers stacked in a lean with one my usual hidden drawer making it 4 drawers, the wood I am still unclear of but I strongly feel as though it’s red ash, It is part of the wood that I got late last year and spalted it caused the nice design, when I put it under the plastic I had no idea it was a red wood as the ends were already blacked where they were cut at, this is also part of the wood I grabbed when tree trimmers were cutting down trees in the neighborhood.

I like the slant. It could be even more extreme and still work. Good ideas you have, Blackie.

I just hope I got the edges rounded enough Donna, I thought of you when I was rounding them. LOL ok let’s get these edges rounded. :)

This was a much better block of wood to work with as well no decay.

Yup- you know I like rounded edges. Seems like that is more fitting for band saw boxes. If you want hard edges go with dovetailed joints- GGG
Just my personal prejudices. I have seen some nice ones with sharper edges, but the rounded ones are usually my favorites.

I like this leaning box. Red ash must not grow here. All the ash I see is VERY light colored. And I always appreciate your secret drawers.

Randy, you are really a prolific box maker. I like the angle of this; it gives it that playful look that you do so well. Thanks for sharing your work with us. Keep boxing and keep posting.

Another nice box design Blackie. I really like the grain and color in that one.
