Walnut and Ambrosia Maple were the woods used. Finish is satin lacquer finished off with a paste wax. Top has a brass inlay and the hardware is brass. The original plans are in “Wood” magazine, July 2009.

Nice execution of the design. I like the ability to hang longer necklaces in this. I wish I knew the dimensions of the piece. Usually the grain runs to a point at the top not the bottom, but it is a very striking use of the maple. Thanks for sharing this with us; you should be very proud of this work.

For Boxguy -
Overall dimensions are: 10 1/2 wide x 8 3/8 deep and 17 1/2 tall. The ring bar for the project is 3 1/2 wide.
