Eddie was a good mate who sadly died earlier this year. We used to meet up twice a week at a local cafe called Boathouse Cafe which is part of the marina complex and stands at side of the river Trent, on a fine day it is idyllic. We would have a couple of coffee’s and a bite to eat, sit and put the world to rights, and always we would have loads of laughs. As I say he died earlier this year rather suddenly and I made this memorial from Mahogany to him and it hangs in the cafe we used to meet in. He was a vintage motorbike enthusiast his favorite bike being the Triumph Bonneville, hence the model bike on the memorial which is a model of a 1968 Bonneville. He was a most likeable man who would make friends with anyone, his favorite phrase being that you need gumption to succeed in this world. Another one of his sayings was “You slide further on B*llshit than you do on gravel” which was always greeted with large amounts of Laughter. RIP EDDIE

A classic bike, and a classic guy. Not everyone has a friend like that, you are truly lucky to have spent the time with him. I morn your loss and celebrate your friendship. No better tribute than something you made.
