Hi Jon,
Beautiful, I like the smaller decorative segments. Maybe the future of segmented turning?

That’s really something special.
Even piecing together some of how it must have been done none of its charm is dispelled.

That’s quite the bowl. The inlays are interesting and the finish is spectacular.

Saw this over on WOW & AAW , a fabulous piece in the series, very well done indeed, as Dennis said, is this a new direction in segmentation?.
Understand you’re in Colorado Jon, hope you & yours are all safe from the fires ravaging thru your beautiful State right now.

thanks for the really nice comments guys, it means a lot.
Andy, i didn’t take any photos, sorry. Pete, all good where i am, thank you. i am in the mountains however, so there is definitively the looming thought, with evac plans in mind. if it gets to dry, maybe i’ll think about moving to New Zealand…that place looks beautiful…and i hear from a friend that it’s populated by the nicest people on earth…;’)
Dennis (Pete), new direction in segmenting…? hmm, haven’t really given it much thought, just going with the flow of ideas as they come to mind…really glad you all are liking the direction, it’s encouraging…

I like the way you used the ‘lines’ to create a strong graphic look.
