This is a quick little project I just finished. I have speakers in the soffit area of our deck area that sounded ok but needed more low end. The sub box is constructed with 1” thick MDF. I then applied three coats of West System epoxy before applying the redwood exterior. I used epoxy to apply the redwood as well. The redwood got a topcoat of Sikkens Cetol SDR natural finish. (The same stuff I used on the deck ) I probably won’t leave it out on the deck in bad weather, or winter. Looks like it is time to give the deck another coat of Sikkens. :(
