A while back Robert brought me this piece of Cassara that is from Oregon. The woods are Cassara Purple Heart and Padauc. I used the first piece to build my wine bottle holder and cut off a piece of the other to make this Board today. OK I know allot of woodworkers do not like to use live edge on a Cutting Board but try it some time you may surprice yourself at how fast it sells. Everything I make with live edge sells. This board will come with the stands that are made of the same wood and will yeild about $100.00. The board is 15” long and the wides point is 11 1/2” the thins is 8” but it has a great look. I split this wood into two pieces and put them top and bottom. Enjoy and don’t let live edge stop you from something, it sells. Robert just keep hating live edge and bring it to me I’ll make money with it.
Thanks Dennis

I like the live edge and would have liked to have seen the board before the stripes were added : )
I think it would have made a nice top for a small table / plant stand.

Nice job Dennis. I pulled out some more ‘stuff’ with live edge. Hope you can make it look this good! Drop off time for the wood is 5:30 AM Wednesday on my way to Tahoe. Also got some of that ugly Spalted maple you like so much.

Nice CB with live edge. And you know, I would certainly make good use of the live edge – ie for cleaning the knife blade off the meat.

Wow. very nice, looks like a daily top 3 to me. Thanks for the e-mail on the zig-zag cutting board, I am almost done with it but my time is limited so takes me a while. It got a little large so it might be a serving tray instead of a cutting board LOL. I will post when done….............Thanks again….....................Jack
