This in a Murphy bed that I call the Bullock. I build the top of each door panel with either an arch or just straight across, like this one. This was completed on April 4, 2008. It is built from oak wood and has standard crown and base molding that I use on most of the Bullocks that I build.
One thing that I did different on this was to add some mid-molding. This was an off the shelf base cap molding that resembles a smaller version of chair rail molding. For the picture I just attached it with two-faced tape. The customer will fit it themselves when they install it. It will be going between two window frames and will have to be coped, the same with the crown.

I’ve been working on getting this system the way that I want it for about 10 months. see our “Current Projects” page for a live shot. It will be the previous days video if the shop is not open.

Hi Chris,
This is another nice bed. You really do a gorgeous job on these. I can see why they are popular.
I like the live feed too. It is a nice touch for current and potential customers to be able to tune in and see what is going on there.
Thanks for the post.

That’s a very nice design. It doesn’t even look like a Murphy bed.
