Nice one. Isn’t that figured or tiger maple? Looks like a nice pocket change dish.

Nice bowl and figure , but I can’t see any Spalting in your photos : )

Nice finish. looks like curly maple, but not spalted anywhere that i can see from the photos. very nice nonetheless.

Yeah, it doesn’t look spalted. Now :)

I started with a much larger piece that had great spalting in it…but unfortunately it didn’t hold together and fell apart during turning. What I ended up with is smaller and doesn’t show the spalting that the original had. So yeah, at this point, curly maple probably describes the finished product better.
