This is an extra long bookcase that was build in June 2012. It measured 146”. The first problem with that is it will not ship very easy. The second problem is it is not practicable to get 146” long material.

What I did was to build that in section and have it to seam together after the customer gets it. I was going to just make two bookcases and slide them together, but I didn’t like the thought of a doubled up vertical/side. What I did instead was to connect it with Festool Domino and pocket screws. This gave it more of a seamless look.

My Notes
Here is my quick sketch, or chicken scratch

She’s a big one!

Lots of squares to be squared up, but looks very square.

Nice job. – Len

Hi Chris.

That’s not a long bookcase, it’s a tall one that fell over!

(ducking and grinning)

Nice job.
