This was my first build in quite some time, and one out of necessity. I needed a bookcase to fit some of my larger books as my collection has outgrown my furniture. I created the design as an adaptation from a previous bookcase I had seen here on LJ’s. The side panels are cherry ply while the rest of the lumber was milled from a tree off a relative’s property about five years ago. Because of the presence of the cherry ply, I used a cherry gel stain and finished with poly. Good re-learning experience for me, and lots of fun! Thanks for looking.
