Since we moved our room from one to the half made room my wife has been bugging me about the closet . She wanted me to go to home depot and get that metal stuff …i wasnt gonna have it no way i can build us a nice closet …well one year and a half later ive started on it LOL .I have to give my wife credit she never really busted my &^%$ all that time just always reminded me LOL . Anyways i started a plan on sketch up and went from there . The wood is popular ply with pine trim .Since i can only put 3 pictures up i couldnt show all that i have . So far the cases have been stain with special walnute an one coat of sealer .The pictures show one of the drawer cases . It has two adjustable shelves . The drawers are on glides (i love these glides ) and the curved cap on the drawer face acts as the pull . I also dovetailed the drawers but will never use ply to do that again (lots of chips) . Over all the project is going ok

Ive made a bunch of changes from the original plan . There are 3 drawers not four . and the height of the cases have been reduced. The case on the small wall will have three shelves not 2 .

More pics when the cases are done .

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the post. This is going well so far. But I agree with you about dovetailing plywood. It just doesn’t work too well. Thanks for the inspiration. I am sure that we all have “assigned” projects that have been somewhat slow to get started. Overcoming the initial inertia and getting it designed are my biggest causes of procrastination.

I am looking forward to seeing the finished result.
