i was given this desk by a friend who was renovating an old cottage he bought. it was in rough shape, glue joints dried out, cracked boards, rusty hardware, etc. i carefully took it aprt repaired it as best i could, refinished the hardware and my wife refinished it to a dark brown. the whole desk was made from ash. it is now a night stand in our room.

Great refinishing job. I have one of those somewhere in the barn and I should also do that to restore it! Thanks for nudging me into action!!.
I was just thinking that would be great for doing my design work while watching television!!
