Recycled Toy Box

Project by Shayne posted 600 days ago 254 views 0 times favorited 2 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This toy box was once mine. I redesigned it to work with all son’s toys he kept all of them in little plastic buckets so I made it fit all of his buckets and some space for taller items in the middle as you see in pictures. He like lo-lo bunny on space jam at the time I made this. He had some coloring books that I used to copy the pictures on the doors of the toy box. On this project I tipped it on the side and used the old top as new doors and added 6 blocks as feet on it and took the fabric off and then painted it to match the color of his room at the time.

Hi Shayne,

This is a nice project and a nice story to go with it. I especially like to see posts with a story like this behind the build. The significance of this piece I am sure is not really understood by your son now. It will be more important to him as he get older. This is something that can be passed on to your grandchildren- many more years down the road, of course.

Thanks for the post.
