Doll bed. “Sleeping area” is 11 1/2” x 23”. Legs are 14” tall and somewhere around 1 1/2” square at bottom. Legs have taper on all four sides. Then I made a rounded peg tip on tops to accept the curtain rods. For tips I just traced a 7/16” circle roughly centered on top of each post and used hand saw and chisels to round it out. All frame parts that show are walnut. I mortised/tenoned frame but have four pocket holed slats you don’t see to hold the “matress”. The “matress” is 3/8” melamine. Headboard and footboard are a simple double hump shape. Curtain rods are approx 7/8” wide and 3/8” thick, with 1/2” holes so they slide over the posts. My wife does the sewing so she did the curtains. We wiped on 3 coats of oil/poly for a little protection. FYI, I’m not sure if the size is correct for actual “American Dolls” as our kids dolls are not actually “American Dolls” but the more affordable versions.
