I made this catapult about 3 years ago and used it to launch grapes at my coworkers cubicles! The number of rubber bands determines distance. It’s kinda cool that when I posted this pic on my Facebook, the First comment was ” Glenn you should go into woodworking, that is really good. You work in a cubicle, poor Glenn.” Now I work in my own Shop! Woodworking! In tropical Brazil! God has really blessed me!

Way cool. I saw this show once where they were trying to make catapults like they did in the old times. They found out they needed to be on wheels to put the full force into what they were throwing.
If you put some wheels on this on, you may be able to reach the boss’ office!

I personally couldn’t handle the office job in the first place. You could market the catapult alone. I’ll bet you have access to some really neat wood. That part I really envy. Good luck in the shop. Hope it goes great for you.

I love that quote from the movie. Nice build on this one.

It sounds like you have an interesting place to work. If I worked in one of those cubicles I would go nuts. I’d have to come up with something like that myself. You did a nice job on it.

I enjoyed that job, but I am much happier building with wood in Brazil now. Lol.
Hey, Rance! I almost went with “Anybody want a peanut?” Considering the size. :)

One guy walked around with grape particles in his hair all day. Eric, I made enough enemies that day, didn’t want the boss to be one of them!

Everytime I see one of these I promise to go home and build my own. Maybe this time…. It looks super; congratulations on your shop. Jeremiah was right then and his words are still right today. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome!!! I so need one! In stead of grapes can it throw flaming balls off hot oi? Lets just say I have some interesting co-workers.

Thanks, Rick! Tokolosi, you might want to replace the bucket with a metal one!

Think it’ll work??
It’d take a miracle. :)
