Nice (and sturdy) looking table. Never apologize for a post. ” If it is made, it should be displayed”. Monte, can you or anyone else advise your source for beetle kill pine? I don’t think much of it makes it to Texas big box stores. I tried buying some on a trip to Colorado last year and it was more expensive than hardwood.

I really like this table. The proportions are just right (always an issue with tables), the beetle kill very cool, and the M/T joinery fit this piece perfectly. Great job!

Monte – That’s the most pleasing beetle pine piece I can recall. You even carried the blue/blonde contrast pattern through on the legs. Well done.

Monte, I love the table. I just got 4 boards of blue pine from a friend in Idaho. He wants me to make a box for his knife collection. Is it too much to ask how you finish your blue pine to preserve/enhance the color ?
