I was in involved in starting a Christian school so that my daughter would receive a better and safer education. The first graduating class, that had gone all 12 years, wanted to give a gift to the school. They ask me to build a podium. This is my design. The top and feet are oak. The legs and cross pieces are popular painted with white lacquer. The cross is walnut. All of the joints are mortise and tendon construction.

It is still in use for the Elementary Chapel programs.

Very nice podium. Simple yet elegant. I like the simple straight lines. The walnut and aluminum go very well together. Nice contemperary look. mike
