Here’s a box I just completed as a gift for my wife for our anniversary. I bought her a necklace and figured I can do better on the box than the one it came in. Wood is a piece of curly maple I found at Lowes and it’s finished with 7 coats of spray-on poly.

Nicely done, beautiful wood.

Very nice box of very nice wood. I have never seen any figured maple at Lowes. I think you got lucky!

It’s a beautiful box with a special reason to exist. Nice work.
