This is made from soft maple and dark walnut. I have yet to put a finish on it because I don’t know what will look the best and I am certainly up for any suggestions. It’s a father’s day gift for my day and it’s late.

Agreed. I love the “natural” look and oil will enhance and finish it nicely.

i just put 1 coat of tung oil on it and you’re right—it lturned out really good. it’s my 1st time using tung oil, should i apply more coats before i apply krylon crystal clear glaze? never used that either…

Nice build. I particularly like how you did the drawer slides. Blo and wax should work fine for finish.

Really a nice project and gift. I predict it will be well received and greatly used. I like Minwax Antique finish oil.

It’s a nice clean build and looks good. I like to use Watco Danish Oil and a final coat of buffed wax.
