Here is a mantle shelf I completed a few weeks ago. The original plan was to take it down and paint it black, however, the “aged” look it has now has grown on us so it is remaining as is for now. This is unfortunate because I wanted to take pics of the mounting method as well!
Construction is completely of MDF (this was chosen over wood as it was just going to be painted over!). The supports were made up of 6 pieces of MDF and then shaped on the bandsaw. Overall it came together quite well considering it was my first shelf and the design was just come up with by doing a few sketches.
Thanks for looking!
