You have you use hand router tool.
the proper way is
1. make proper lines using scale and pencil.
2. use hand router slowly along the line.
3. Use thicker say 1 inch bit with hand router.

you will get straight lines. this process using hand router takes around 2 hours to make lines on one drawer if done by professional man who is regularly doing this same work.

Buy the which tool you are using to make lines. Also for leaning lines try to keep the grinder tiled by 45 degree the grinding must be done in slanting position.
and don’t give much pressure as if given pressure you get circles.
