John and Deb at the Arbor Inn in Prescott Wisconsin have been a really great host when my wife and I have gone there, three trips and counting. So to add to the colorfull and fun Wine tasting I made this Bottle Stopper for them to use. Locally you can see the Bald Eagles on the river, either at the Eagle center in Prescott or take a drive to Wabasha Minnesota, the new Eagle center there is great.
The wood is Bocote from Mexico, and was turned from a kit from PSI, and there mandrel.
I mentioned if they wanted a bottle stopper out of local Grape Vine that I would give it a try. If I get it and it works I will post pictures here.
From a craftsmans note: The Lathe is starting to do what I want, instead of by chance. :-) I am learning. Tools were Roughing Gouge, parting tool, and Spindle Gouge.

Hi Sheldon,
This is a beautiful stopper. Everytime I see a turning post it makes me regret not having a lathe. But I do enjoy seeing the projects posted by other woodworkers who have the talent to produce turnings like this.
Thanks for the post.

oooh…. I like the idea of using grape vine – let us know if you acquire some and what comes of it.
