Well this has been a long time coming but finally built a router table proper. Had the JessEm table and lift for years and was unsatisfied with the fact that there was no dust collection from the bottom and no storage. So after seeing all the projects here i built this table. Hope you enjoy.
The carcuss is 3/4” ply left over from another job that i jointed with a lock miter bit. the drawer fronts i made from a glue up of some figured poplar I got from a local home improvement center. Three glide sets I had in the shop for the bottom drawers and runners I made for the upper six drawers so that they were easily removable. There was a little side to side play in the upper draws & this is why I chose to make the handles wrap around the side of the carcuss, (made of oak) this worked well. The base in the rear extends so the hoses are not pressed up against the wall of my shop. The wheels in the skirt are on swivels so it only rolls front to back and a couple shims stop this if nessasary.
