This was a fun little project for my daughter, a drop down art desk with chalkboard on the cabinet face. The design idea came from Ana White (http://ana-white.com/2011/09/flip-down-wall-art-desk-0) with a few design modifications (Ana’s original and updated design didn’t work for my fasteners and the trim).

I was JUST looking at that Ana White post yesterday! Great job. I think I’m going to build something very similar for my daughters, though I may try to find a metal whiteboard surface instead of blackboard. Nice work.
