I made this a few years ago now and it remains unpainted due to me losing the plans and not knowing which ship it is. It is made with balsa wood and various other odds and ends I had lying around, such as one of the funnels, which is a glue stick lid, the guns are small panel pins.

that is pretty cool, I built one a while ago used a 2×4 for the hull balsa would have been way easier. Nice job.

Looks a little like HMS Cavalier now a museum piece at Chatham Dockyard, Chatham, Kent, England. Well done on the build

Thanks Derek, I googled HMS Cavalier and it is certainly very similar. There are two other ships in the same class but I think, when I get round to finishing it, I will finish it as HMS Cavalier.

This is a fine model. To paint it you ought to be able to find a picture of a similar ship on the internet.

I would venture to say it probably isn’t the HMS Pinafore?
