This is a cabinet I recently finished. Its main purpose is to hold some fireplace tools. I wanted it to be a mesh between the cheery wainscoting to the left of the fireplace, and the build-in to the right. It also had to house the speaker. I ended up putting a paper holder in the right side of the cabinet. I also had to work around some stereo wires on the right.

The veneer is home sawn to just over 1/16”. The rest of the cabinet is baltic. Soss hinges handle the doors while some push catch latches allow for no handles. Some of the cheery has some figure which you can see in some of the pictures. It was a good use of some unique boards I had sitting around. I am still planning on putting tile on the fireplace tool side, but haven’t picked that out yet. The finish is satin lacquer. Sorry about the sideways pictures of the interior.

Great idea, great job. Nice way to hid things you want yourself or others to see.
