iPhone speaker made of white oak with mahogany trim. The two speakers came from discarded sets of surround systems, and an old headphone jack. No amplification so the volume cannot get too high but the sound has a nice “hollow box” feel to it. I’m sure there are specific dimensions for the size of speaker but I have little knowledge when it comes to electronics and speakers. Someday I have to build a speaker box around a homemade hi fi tube amp, but once again my (small amount of) knowledge is about woodworking.

Very Clean build,

Tube amplifiers, takes me back, electronics was my life as a kid. Before internet, gameboy, etc. I took on speaker design and made some stereos from scratch. had a Boom Box ( cause I liked it loud…Rock and Roll!) with 12 inch base in it.

Your projects show excellent craftsmanship. And I thought Hmmmm….. I found a book used on Amazon ( can buy new) might be inspirational..or at least informative?

http://www.amazon.com/Designing-Building-Testing-Speaker-Projects/dp/007069429X/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1339948851&sr=1-4&keywords=speaker+cabinets

You can make the outside of the boxes fit your design skills. seen some made by a cabinet maker.

Rock on!
