Cedar jewelry box that I made for my wife last Christmas. FYI, cedar is a real pain to work with when its that thin. Really wants to split out. I know the handles look a little low, but they are covering one of the pivots.

Looks great. I know for a fact how it is to work with cedar since most everything I made is with cedar. On one hand its a pleasure then it can be a pain in the butt.
The finish product is all that counts.
Like the design of the box and may copy that design when I made my next box.

You did a beautiful job on this. I love cedar and you are right about it’s workability at that thickness.
Welcome to L.J.’s

Nice Jewelry Box, Old fashioned designs are always a favorite of mine, the wood is beautiful and the space You have created with the added tray is great, thanks for sharing

Nice job. I love the pivoting/lifting tray idea and probably won’t rest until I figure out how you made it work. Cedar can be very frustrating but you made this work and I don’t see any oops!
