this is my slingshot rifle/crossbow i made out of a wooden sniper rifle i made i shortened the barrel and put a notch in it and tied the rubber bands. at first i had a cloths pin as the trigger mechanism but it broke because the bands were to strong so i used the bottom half and put a piece of wallnut on top like the top half would have worked. it shoots marbles rocks and just about anything that fits in the pouch. thanks for looking pleas comment.

I have to admit I had a similar “shooter” at about your age. They are fun but please use care and be responsible about how and where you use it.
When I grew up I became a Sheriff. So will you become a woodworker, soldier, or policeman or all of them?

Long ago I had a BB rifle. I asked my uncle if it was ok to shoot the pigeons in his barn. He said it was ok because they were always dropping stuff on his hay. Thus, licensed as a killer, I went out and downed my first live animal. Looking over my kill, I thought and thought. It was still warm. I wasn’t going to eat it, and the droppings were so small in relationship to the vast area of barn it formerly flew over it didn’t seem the villain I had thought it was. The head lolled over as i picked it up. Something had to be done with it. There was a clean up to be taken care of after my deed. It had offered no more challenge than a can sitting on a fence so my skill hadn’t been improved by the experience. Since then I have hunted and city farmed for food, disposed of pests … human and otherwise, became a policeman, and teacher. Bottom line, now might be a good time to reflect on how you will use power. Perhaps a lot of thought should go into it before the projectile leaves the weapon. Nice work. You should be proud.
