updated our guest room for our new son (15 months old now). I installed wainscoating, windown bench (mom did the seat cushion) and a builtin dresser. First time using prefinished ply for the dresser drawers – so nice not having to finish! Full extension drawers with heavy duty rails which now might not have been the best choice as my son likes to crawl in the bottom drawer! I live in a cape with dormers in the front so the builtin was to take advantage of that empty space next to the closet. As for the changing table, my wife wanted somewhere to change my son on the main floor without it taking a lot of room. The height turned out to be a blessing no more bending over with your back burning trying to change a wiggly little boy! Its bar height and built to go over our dog’s crate/bed/hut. the front 1/3 of the changing table lifts to reveal a 3” deep storage drawer. My sisters are now trying to get me to sell this or butter me up so I make them one!
