My first piece of furniture

This is my first try at furniture. We are redoing our deck and wanted a glider. This one is plans from woodcraft magazine. Worked pretty good.

Wood is cedar finish with general finish exterior 450 natural water base.
All screws plugged:

1st trial run

This is a fantastic piece. I love it and of course you cant go wrong with cedar.

Great work It shows that you care about your work with the details. Taking the time to make and plug all the holes is so important in my opinon. Not sure why everyone does not do that. Great colors and wood. A real beauty! Well done.

Great looking Glider. Which magazine and issue did it come from? This is a project that’s been on my to do list for some time now. First I gota build some landscape path lighting fixtures. Thanks for posting!

thats a beautiful bench you built ,that cedar is a pretty wood , sit down have a cold one you deserve it. i head that some where.

Like this glider ,will be nice to have for those special times and it looks like management approves.
Great attention to detail with plugging the screw holes !
