Mike,
That’s what I need to do is make some things out of the scraps that I have laying around the shop. I think the walnut stain looks just fine on the oak..

Well thanks again Max. I thought it would make a nice contrast with the cherry wood and ebony. mike

That knot gives the top a lot of character, just like its turner. I think the walnut stain looks good. What is the size of it?

Quote Mike: ”Thanks Don, what have you been up to? I don’t see any new profects buddy.”
To be honest, not much in the way of completed projects. I had a bit of a setback today. Almost finished a box, then knocked it to the floor. One of the wooden hinges snapped, so I’m now carefully removing it an will need to fashion a new hinge. About three hours of work involved.
Most of the project I’ve posed here were made over the past six years. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep a complete photographic record of all my projects, so some are just memories. My rate of posting projects will be much slower because they will only come when each project is completed.

Hi Mike;
—-well I see your posting more of those works of ‘wood art’ that you do so great!
To my way of seeing, that use of stain and knots is great character….
GODSPEED,
Frank

Thanks for the measurements, Mike. I said you have great character, buddy…not that you are a character. Keep up the great work.
