Completed some time back, working on getting my Gallery up to date.

Wanting to add a wood plane to my tool box, I purchased the Hock Plane Kit after seeing some of his website videos and having experience with his high quality plane blades. Found a no frills kit with great value, and straight forward assembly leaving shaping and design to the user.

I found this to be a great project. One of the most enjoyable projects I have done since beginning woodworking.

It was very soothing to go through the steps of shaping the plane. While one of a kind for sure, it fits my hand very well and I think it looks cool :)

Overall I highly recommend for any level woodworker – it was a blast – Ron does a great how-to video posted on his website.

Very nice. A Hock shoulder plane kit is on my wish-list!

Have your say...
