Thought popped in my head awhile ago so after about 1-2 months planning I started building off the picture I had in my head and this is what turned out. Ended up being a Mother’s Day gift for my mom who has always loved lighthouses.
I used maple and walnut and managed to find some curly maple for the trim around the base and used brass rods and epoxy putty for the railings around the top part and the weathervane, which is actually the switch. Added hinges for the roofs to access the bulb and wiring, just in case.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for any comments and for looking!

Cool design. I really like the highly visible and contrasting looks – similar to typical lighthouses.
