Finally after almost 2 years, I got another project finished. Last year was nothing but uncooperative weather and massive amounts of OT which left me little free time.
I finally ot to finish this cane I started last spring for my uncle who had a stroke. It is a Black Walnut branch. I used a spot where a smaller branch came out that had a lot of the dark heartwood showing to use for most of the body of the Eagle and added the Whitetail Deer head to honor my uncles love of hunting. I left all the natural bumps and turns in the wood to give it character. There are also a lot of dark button spots down the length from the smaller branches I removed. Hope to get a couple more done yet this year.

Great looking cane. I like the carving and the natural look.
