My mam’s friend’s uncle unfortunately died recently of cancer, he was a carpenter who built miniature models of things out wood. She asked me could i make a cross for her to put on his grave. So i made a cross out of chinese white oak (some of our old flooring boards from my house) and then put on a backer of MDF and then mitered some decorative moulding around the edges.

That is a beautiful project mate and it will be appreciated. Just be carefull of that MDF if it is going to be outdoors. It will not stand up to much weather.
