Macrocarpa Cupressus macrocarpa Hartw.
Family: Cupressaceae
Softwood Grown in New Zealand but native to United States.
This was a student project back in 2010. I wanted to show you can build furniture with screws just as effectively as with dowels or tennons. Sure there are some dovetails in the drawers and mortice and tennons in the doors, but mostly this piece is screwed and glued together.

Beautiful cabinet! Nice videos , too….....
With the advent of the Kreg fixture for pocket holes, many of the front frames and bodies of kitchen cabinets are joined with screws alone- no glue and they hold like crazy!
