I made this as my second adventure into woodworking as a hobby. I ordered the plans from Lee Valley and pretty much followed them to the letter other than replacing the drawer fronts with solid beech vice trimmed ply. The walnut stain I chose turned out to be way darker than I had anticipated. Next time, I will either go lighter, or us a dark wood from the start. The body is made of paneled ply and beech with ply drawers and heavy duty full extension drawer slides. Lastly, I plan on staining prior to any assembly from now on. It may take longer but the results will be much better than the bleed through I got from taping things out. Overall I really enjoyed this project, and am ready to move onto the next one.
