I got asked by a friend to make this for her open gardens day. I first came up with a much too complex idea of making intricate puzzle pieces, when i relayed this idea to my mum she said that kids will find it to difficult. I went back to the drawing board and designed this a simple puzzle. I cut all of the pieces on the scroll saw due to that fact that my bandsaw had broken, i cut all the pieces and sanded them smooth. I then went out and bought different colored spray paints, and after a few coats you get this. you could easily make 10 of these in a day due to the fact that there is no gluing the only time you have to wait is for the paint to dry.

Your mum is right (as usual, probably). These are perfect for small hands to fit together and since the pieces can fit together in any order, there will not be any frustration. Nice work.
