I got commissioned to build three flag cases. All three are oak w/ minwax provincial stain. Several coats of Formby’s Tung oil finish followed by 2 coats of wax. The case with the coins is for a minister that is a huge supporter of the Military. The five coins are Army, Navy, Marine, Coast Guard and Air Force. The shadow box with the green felt (Army) is for the Uncle of the man that ordered them. His Uncle has passed away but he wanted to give it to his Aunt to display a flag and his memorabilia. The flag case is for the owner to display a flag of his own, to eventually be used at his funeral. He seemed very pleased with them. Hopefully you will be too.

as well he should

you did a great job on them all

real nice to have a special way
to remember those that went before
and the sacrifices they made

Nice job, Paul. They look very nice and will serve their purpose well.

Great job!!! I think I’m going to build one like the Pastor’s. I need some way to display the Challenge coins from my four submarine commands (USS Henry Clay, USS James Madison, USS Simon Bolivar & USS Francis Scott Key).
