We needed a condiment area in our lodge dining room so I went to the back yard and snagged some beetle kill pine slab wood and went to work. Everyone knows I like “rustic” so here’s what I came up with. 3 coats of spar varnish finished it off. I had a hard time deciding if it might be better served as an end table by my couch. I really love giving this beautiful old wood a new lease on life.

Beetle kill pine always has such an amazing look. You used it well.
