This is one of those tilt-able floor mirrors that once set are never again tilted. This is a copy of the standard design for the cherval mirror in an arts and craft style. The wood is a walnut board cut from a large log that my father-in-law put aside 20 years ago. Nice wood. Straight grain.
The mirror was given to my daughter, Amy to complement the dresser I made for her using some of the same log. Unfortunately, she made me stain the dresser a dark, dark walnut and as a result, the photos are very dark. Too bad because it came out pretty well when viewed in real life.
