Nice turnings. That dye really changes the look of the wood. I really like that green!

What sort of dyes are you using Bob?,
I have played with alcohol dye (briwax) and water based dyes (U-Beaut) both work well but you have to do a tester first as some timbers have their preferences as to which sort

Thanks Pete and Jim. Pete I used the U-beaut water based dye on these, find they work well. Have used the food colouring from the supermarket and found it worked OK straight from the bottle. Haven’t been that busy Pete had plenty of time off while sucking icecream as recommended by those Southern Yankees.
-- If you stuff a project just think of an alternative to save it.
