This is a project that I did awhile back and decided I needed to do something more to it. When I first finished or thought that I was finished, it did not have the brackets on the side of the picture. The picture is sunken in a groove in the top of the cedar base. With the brackets on the side it is a little more stable and don’t have to worry about the picture falling. Although I did make it where the picture can slide out the top of the brackets.
The picture itself is made of 1/4” baltic birch. The backer is blue stain glass, so it has some weight, then it is wrapped in copper tape to hold the two together. The base is an irregular piece of cedar. The original pattern did not have candles on the base, but you know me I’m always changing something.
