While hollowing out this vessel I thinned it down to much in a couple of places. Rather than throw it onto the wood pile I looked for an alternative in the backyard. I had seen on the net where someone had glued coffee beans to his project and as one of our bottlebrushes (nativer Australian bush) was covered in seed pods although smaller than beans I thought here goes. Carving some leaves around the guts and after many sessions of gluing I had covered the outside and when sanded back looked quite effective. Let me know what you think and if you like I’ll send a bag of seeds to try. As if.
Haven’t been on here for sometime, haven’t been well from sucking all the icecream as recommended by your
Southern Yankees.
Couldn’t get into my old L.J’s page so started a new
one. Bob Collins.
