My son was recently baptized and I carved the shell in the cross to remember his baptism. I also carved his name and the date on the back. I made it from a sweetgum tree my parents cut down in their yard. It had provided much shade and good times while I was growing up. Especially when my brother and I would peg each other with the green sweetgum balls. I couldn’t think of any better way to use some it.
