I made this as a wedding gift for my oldest nephew and his new wife. I also had made a small Wenge and Zebra wood box that he had used to giver her his great grandmother’s diamond. Sorry, can’t find the pictures of that one. He also used that same box to hold the rings during the wedding.
The box is built out of solid walnut with mitered corners and dovetail keys. I did not line the bottom, but did put an inscribed Bible in the box.
The finish is amber shellac base followed with a final coat of wax.

It’s good to be getting back in the shop again. Been out due to health reasons and then a shop move. Starting to get back in the swing of things again.
