I built this deck a few weeks back for my brother-in-law in Virginia. Pressure treated lumber screwed together. The triangular portion is built to cover up a trip hazard of eroded asphalt. I wondered how to attach a deck to asphalt, knowing a concrete anchor would work loose in no time. So I broke through the 2” of asphalt and put in some 4”x4” posts and lots of concrete to anchor it well. Came out very solid and it looks like it grew there.

looks good, one question, the picture is not very clear but did you make sure that there is a ventilation space, it looks all closed up, to prevent the wood from rotting either no drop of water should enter the space below the deck or… you need ventilation. Anyway, just one of my thoughts, nice and fine job!
