This was the first box I made for a very sweet littel 6 year old girl & gave it to her as a birthday gift. Everyone loved it including the birthday girl :) She loves her “Papa Columbus” :) This is made from pine furring stips Plywood top & this one had tile board for the bottom and walnut for hte splines . Let me know what you think

Papa C.,
I like the corner splines. I have begun making a box each year for my grandchild. He will be two this year and I have made him a box with alphabet blocks on the inside and and elephant on the outside, because those are two of his current interests. (I’ll post it when the next coat of finish dries.) The name is an especially nice touch. I would consider upgrading the wood choice, it is possible this will be a lasting keepsake.

She will be very proud of that. Good job on the name. She’ll like that it is HERS.
