I’m going to be doing a couple shows soon so I needed a secure way to display my jewelry. I purchased the plexi from HD but the wood is oak flooring that I saved from a recent floor replacement job I did.

The third pic is hard to see but there are 4 screws (modified on my lathe) in the top section that slide into keyhole slots in the bottom section. Placing the top on the bottom and sliding it an 1 1/2” makes it difficult to open if you don’t know how. I may put a key latch on one end later to prevent the sliding. I haven’t decided yet.

The legs are made from left over birch and fastened with hinges. There are 2 magnets that hold the legs closed (for transport) and 2 more that hold the legs open.

Now I just have to make some more jewelry to fill it up ;).

That ought to keep dishonest people out. Nice job!

This is an interesting way to “lock” the upper and lover sections of the case together. This is a nice project.

Thanks for the post.
